Music Journey
Growing up, King Paluta loved listening to Ghanaian music but didn’t know he would become a rapper or a musician. He discovered his musical talent by listening to songs of Ghanaian artists like Kwaw Kese, Asem, Akyeame, and Bradez. One day, King was heard by one of his senior brothers while he was freestyling, and he told him that he would be a good musician, so he should consider making music.
Around 2004, King Paluta met friends who introduced him to the studio, and he started recording demos. However, at a point, he wasn’t getting money to pay for studio sessions, so he decided to get what he needed to learn sound engineering on his laptop. He began learning sound engineering on his own with one of his friends who also wanted to do music. While doing this, he involved himself in rap battles in the Ashanti Region.
In 2008, after four years of not doing much when it came to going to the studio to record, Paluta met Abismall and Owuraku (Phills Bright), and these two started giving him studio exposure. He remained consistent in recording songs in the studio and got signed to a few record labels. However, these record labels promised him juicy deals but failed him.
Years later, King Paluta’s rap talent caught the attention of Nana Yaw Maradona, aka Guru, who signed him to his NKZ Music record label in 2017 and released his debut track since joining the label. In 2019, Paluta parted ways with NKZ Music but continued to work hard as a musician. He had his breakthrough in the music industry in Ghana in 2022 after releasing a song titled “Yahitte.”
