Career
Anna Chlumsky started her career as a child model. She was just a ten-month-old baby when she landed her first job after her mum enrolled her in a modeling agency. She did that for a few years and decided to quit when she found acting to be her passion after she started acting in school. At the time, Anna’s mum started her acting career and participated in many stage performances. Anna joined her mum to audition at Chicago Stage Productions, and like her mum, she got the opportunity to participate in many stage dramas.
At age 8-9, Anna Chlumsky landed her first movie role as School Child in a 1989 movie titled Uncle Buck, directed by John Hughes. She became known at age eleven (11) after appearing in “My Girl,” a film directed by Howard Zieff and released in 1991. She also featured in its sequel, “The Girl 2,” released in 1994, and other movies. In 1998, Anna went on a hiatus from acting to focus on her education. After almost a decade, She returned to the screens after missing acting, and since she returned from her long break, She has starred in several movies and TV series and won numerous awards.
