Ashley Dodowaa Chuks, known by the stage name Ashley Chuks, is a Ghanaian singer with a euphonious voice. Many know her as a former contestant of the Nsromma reality show on Adom TV. She is an actress as well.

Ashley Chuks is 16 years old. She was born on September 18, 2007, in her mother’s hometown, Gomoa Akwamu, in the Central Region. Her father is a native of Obuasi in the Ashanti region, and her parents gave birth to six children. Chuks is the third child of her parents, and she had a bit of her upbringing in the Central region before moving to Accra with her mum, dad, and elder siblings.

She completed her junior high school education at Glory Divine Academy, but before that, she had her primary to JHS 1 education at Akwamu D/A Primary School. She proceeded to Wesley Grammar SHS for her high school education, and studied General Arts.

Career

Ashley Chuks

Ashley Chuks is more like a gospel singer or an inspirational singer. She was born with her singing talent and started her music journey at a young age.

In 2017, Ashley joined TV3 Talented Kids Season 9 but couldn’t get to the finals of the competition because of low votes.

She participated in the Nsromma Season 1 reality show on Adom TV in 2018, and with this, she came out as the second runner-up at the end of the competition. Ashley became famous in Ghana through Nsromma. She was one of the most liked contestants by the masses, including highlife musician Kwame Eugene, during the competition.

After the reality show, she released her first single titled “Believe” in 2019. That same year she dropped a hit song with Kwame Eugene titled “Show Me Love.” Ashley has about three released songs now.

Philanthropy

Ashley Chucks has a foundation that she founded after releasing her “Show Me Love” song featuring Eugene Marfo, a.k.a Kwame Eugene. The foundation is called the Ashley Chuks Foundation, and she has been able to donate exercise books to her Alma Mater, Akwamu D/A, and to other schools in Ghana.
