Baba Spirit Biography

Baba was born on October 1, 1981, in Ghana. His real name is Francis Yaw Ofori, and he is the son of Kwaku Nyarko. He has three siblings, three sisters, and their names are Veronica Ofori, Monica Ofori, and Agartha Ofori. He is a native of Atwima Denkyemuoso in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.

According to Baba’s Facebook profile account, he attended Akim Swedru Senior High School in the Eastern Region (Class of 2000) and proceeded to Media Solutions Institute (Class of 2010). He began his career as a Master of Ceremonies (MC) before becoming a radio presenter, actor, and musician.

Francis Yaw Ofori started his career as a radio presenter with Sena Radio. From there, he moved to Oman FM and next Rainbow FM. After a few years of experience as a radio presenter, Baba moved to television. For television, Francis worked with Adom TV, where he hosted the ‘Broken Show,’ and Angel TV, and Atinka TV, where he hosted The Baba Spirit show.

He began his acting journey in the Kumawood movie industry whiles pursuing his TV career. He released songs like Cortility ft. Ramz Nic, Baba Nuama ft. Yaa Pono and S3 Asa, before his demise. Baba died on Thursday, September 8, 2022, after a short illness.

Francis Yaw Ofori had no children. However, a few weeks before his burial, Ghanaian actor Quappiah and a family head from Baba’s family disclosed in an interview on Kofi TV that a woman claimed she had a daughter with the deceased.
