Early Life and Family Background
Cookie tee was born in Bawku, Upper East Region, on February 25, 1991. She moved with her mum and sister to Kadjebi, in the Oti Region, when she turned three (3), and then to Hohoe, in the Volta Region, where she lived with her grandmother and started schooling. A few years later, she was brought to Accra, and she continued her education in Accra and spent the rest of her life in Accra. Unfortunately, Cookie lost her mum when she was 19 years old and was about to commence her registration at the University of Ghana, Legon. She is 33 years old and a native of Bawku, in the Upper East Region.

Cookie tee disclosed that when she was a little girl, she wanted to become a newscaster. According to her, anytime she saw anchors on the TV screens, she tried to mimic whatever they said, but she started her career as an actress before her media journey began with GhOne TV in 2018. She has starred in movies like Hashtag, Shampaign & 3 Idiots, and A Wise Man.
At GhOne TV, Cookie was the host of “Guess Who Is Coming For Dinner,” “Toast,” and the new “Tales from the “Powder Room.” A few months after she started hosting the two shows on TV, Bola Ray put her on “The Zone” on Starr FM, so she was doing radio alongside Television. In 2020, Cookie joined TV3 Ghana, and she became the co-host of New Day, a morning show. Cookie currently hosts New Day with Johnnie Beresford Hughes and Roland Walker. On February 25, 2024, which is Cookie tee’s birthday, she launched her foundation called the Mabel’s Angels Memorial Foundation in memory of her late mother, Mary, and made donations at the Maternity ward of the 37 Military Hospital in Accra, Ghana. She also covered the transportation cost of some individuals at the 37 Lorry Station and gave cash out to Hawkers at the Stations.
