Early Life and Family Background

Dr. Lawrence Tetteh was born in Jamestown, Accra, on May 15, 1964. He was born into the Ga-Adangbe royal lineage to Sampson Kwadjo Tetteh, a native of Dodowa in Accra, and Juliana Norchoe Tetteh, aka Auntie Julie, a native of Osu, also in Accra. Dr. Lawrence grew up in North Kaneshie but lived in other areas in Accra. At age 22, he moved to Hungary, Europe, after getting a scholarship to go and study. He has eight siblings, including brothers and sisters.

Father

The late Sampson Kwadjo Tetteh is the father of Dr. Lawrence. Sampson was a senior court official, a member of the presbyterian church of Ghana, and Ga-Adangbe from Dodowa, Accra. He was born into a royal family.

Mother

Juliana Norchoe Tetteh (Auntie Julie) is Rev. Lawrence’s mother. She is a methodist and a Ga from Osu in Accra. She was a Chorister in the Methodist Church at Adabraka and Avenor. She was born into a royal family.

Educational Background

Dr. Lawrence Tetteh went to Odorgonno Senior High School at Awoshie in Accra. While in Odorgonno, he got a scholarship to go and study in Hungary, so he attended the Budapest Corvinus University of Economics Sciences in Hungary. He studied Economics, and after completing this University, he moved to London and attended the London School of Economics (LSE) in the United Kingdom.

Barbara Tetteh is the wife of Rev. Dr. Lawrence. Mrs. Tetteh is also in the ministry. She is an alumnus of the University of Winchester. Currently, She resides in London, UK.

His Life Story & Ministry

Though Lawrence Tetteh was born into a Christian home, his father being a member of the Presbyterian church and his mother a member of the Methodist Church, he was influenced by friends into practicing Hinduism. He began attending a Hindu church in Darkuman, Accra. However, at age 21, Dr. Lawrence and two of his friends were led to Christ by the late Francis Kwasi Amoako.

Evangelist Akwasi Amoako died in a ghastly accident in March 1990. He was the one who trained Tagoe Sisters and groomed preachers like Dr. Salifu Amoako. After leading Dr. Lawrence to Christ, Evangelist Akwasi Amoako told Lawrence he would get a scholarship and would become an international preacher. After a year of serving under Akwasi Amoako, Dr. Lawrence got a scholarship to go and study in Hungary, which confirmed Akwasi Amoako’s prophecy. So, he left Ghana for Hungary and went to Study at the Budapest Corvinus University of Economics Sciences in Hungary. There, he was a student leader and the leader of the African Connecting Committee. Dr. Lawrence had the opportunity to have a rapport with the Hungarian President, Prime Minister, Education Minister, and other leaders at the time.

Dr. Lawrence started preaching the Gospel in 1986. He used to go to different Universities and Colleges and travel to other countries to preach the gospel. Through doing God’s work, he has met many Men of God around the World. Dr. Lawrence was part of the people who started the International Church of Budapest in Hungary, and he has worked with many international organizations. He has also lectured at some universities outside Ghana.

He was ordained into ministry by Dr. T.L. Osborne and Archbishop Benson Idahosa in the United Kingdom. A few years later, he established his Worldwide Miracle Outreach in London, UK, and has evangelized and performed miracles around the World. In 2017, he was installed a Canon by the Anglican Church of Ghana, so his full title is Rev. Canon, Dr. Lawrence Tetteh.
