Kuami Eugene was born in Akim Oda, Eastern Region, on February 1, 1977, to Mr. Alex Marfo and Mrs. Juliana Marfo. He was brought to Accra when he was three (3) years old, and he lived with his family at Bubuashie, Kaneshie, and then Fadama, a suburb of Accra. The Rockstar is 27 years old and the third child of his parents.

Music Career
Kuami Eugene began his music journey at a young age when he joined the Presbyterian Church Choir in Fadama, where he worshipped with his family. Later, he learned how to play the keyboard, drum, and guitar and played all these instruments in Church, especially the drums.
When Kuami started high school, he used to skip school and go to a studio in the Eastern Region to learn more about making music. He also played truant to go and perform at shows closer to where the school he attended was located. However, one day, the school authorities found out about his actions, and he was punished. But that didn’t make Eugene give up on his passion.
Kuami Eugene was a gospel musician, and he released a few gospel songs, but along the line, he changed his genre of music to highlife. In 2015, the Rockstar joined the MTN Hitmaker reality show, and after the competition, he placed third. He was signed by Richie, the CEO of Lynx Group Limited toLynx Entertainment after MTN Hitmaker, and on November 9, 2016, he dropped his first song titled “Ebeyeyie.” on January 13, 2017, he released his second single, “Show Dem” ft Ko-Jo.
He was nominated in the Unsung Category of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards in 2017 and won the award. On April 14, 2017, Kwame dropped his third single, “Fadama Boy,” and his fourth, “Boom Bang Bang,” on May 15, 2017. However, he got his breakthrough after releasing his fifth single, “Angela,” on September 6, 2017. At the time, he was 20 years old. The Angela song music video had 1 million views in one month and was in the top 10 of playlists till the beginning of 2018. He won the Male Vocalist and Artist of the Year Awards at the Eastern Music Awards 2017.
After “Angela,” Kuami Eugene released Confusion, and since then, he has dropped a lot of songs and come out with an EP and two Albums. He has worked with musicians like MzVee, Kidi, Shatta Wale, Lasmid, and Kwame Yogot. He has also written songs for some of these artists and produced some of the songs as well.
