Michelle Attoh was born in Accra, Ghana, on October 27, 1974. She was born to one Mr. Attoh from the popular Attoh family in Ghana from Jamestown, Accra, and Ghanaian actress Rama Brew, famed for her role in the “Home Sweet Home” TV Series. However, her parents separated when she was just two years old. A few years later, her mother, Rama Brew, found another man, an Italian, so at age five, Michelle and her mum relocated to Torino, Italy, to live with her stepfather, Kelly.
At the time, her biological father, Mr. Attoh, had relocated to Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire, and started a new family. At age 13, She returned to Ghana, attended Ghana International School (GIS) for two years, and furthered to Labone Senior High School. At some point, Michelle wanted to be with her biological father, so she joined him in Abidjan and had her senior high school there before again returning to Ghana.

Later, she went on to take acting roles in South Africa, became a presenter at DSTV, and set up a business. Michelle was featured in the South African Soap Opera “Egoli.” She started hosting a TV show called “At Home with Michelle Attoh,” where she interviewed many celebrities.
Although during her stay in South Africa, she came to Ghana from time to time, she returned to Ghana years later and then continued her TV and acting career in Ghana.
