Music Journey
Piesie Esther was born into the Church of Pentecost in Nsuta, the Ashanti Region of Ghana and she started singing in church at a young age during Sunday School Service.
After completing her junior high education, she left her hometown Nsuta-Atonsu for Kumasi and continued singing at the Assemblies of God Church at Pankrono where she went to live with her mom from age sixteen (16).
At age 17, Piesie became a backing vocalist for veteran Ghanaian Gospel singer Georgia Agyei. She was her backing vocalist for many years and through her, she met famous persons like the Founder and Leader of Great Light Worship Center, Osofo Apae Live who helped her music career.
In 2002, Piesie Esther released her first album “Apae Ama Me.” In 2008, she followed up with the “Me Nte Ase” collection which got her nominations at the Ghana Music Awards in 2009. She later released her third album “Ziba Bɛkɔ” in 2011 and her fourth album “Agye Won Nsem” in 2016.
In 2017, she dropped an all-worship album “Osoreɛ Mu Tumi.” In 2019, she released “Maseda Kɛseɛ* and “Wobεdi Adanseε” in 2021. Her latest song is “Wayε Me Yie” released in 2023, and she has a rendition of this song which features some gospel musicians in Ghana.
