Early life
Sassy Sika Osei was born in Accra, Ghana, on June 12, 1985. She is 38 years old, and she comes from the Ashanti Region. Her parents are Ghanaians, and she was named after one of her Dad’s sisters. She has a senior sister called Akua Gyimah Asante, who is a Medical Doctor, a junior sister called Maame Yaa, and other siblings.
The actress’s mum, Aunty Martha, was a Diplomat who used to work for the United Nations, and her father was a bank manager in Ghana but resigned to join her mum. As a result, at a young age, Sika had to live in Ghana, India, South Africa, Lesotho, and the United States.
Father
On November 8, 2020, Sika Osei lost her father, Mr. Osei. She broke the news on social media on November 11, a few days after his death.
For the first time touching on her father’s death, the actress, in a video on her YouTube Channel (Sika Osei Network), revealed he was diagnosed with cancer called multiple myeloma, and he died a day before her mum’s birthday in a hospital.
Educational Background
She attended SOS and proceeded to the University of Ghana, where she earned a bachelor’s Degree in Arts. Following that, Sika went to GIMPA to study law.

Sika Osei is married to a Nigerian who goes by the name of Sele Douglas. Her husband is a Calabar from Port Harcourt, Nigeria. However, he spent most of his life in South Africa and other countries. He works with Deloitte Consulting in South Africa.
Wedding
Sika Osei and Douglas had wanted to get married in 2020, but because of the pandemic, they kept changing their wedding date till Thursday, October 21, 2021, when their traditional wedding ceremony took place in Accra. The ceremony was a blend of Ghanaian and Nigerian Cultures.
Their white wedding took place on Saturday, September 23, 2021, at the Sandbox Beach Club in Accra, followed by a private reception at the De-Icon Event Centre, which saw performances from musicians such as Efya and Kidi. A few days after the wedding, the newlywed flew to Johannesburg for their honeymoon.
How Sika Osei met Her Husband
Sharing her love journey, Sika Osei disclosed she met her husband in 2016 at an airport in Nigeria when she was going to shoot a travel show for Dstv in South Africa.
According to her, she was on the same flight with Sele, and after they landed in South Africa, while she was finding her luggage, he approached her and asked for her number so he could take her out for dinner later. But instead, she took his number, and three days later, after they went on a date, they started dating.
However, three months later, while she was still working in South Africa, they broke up, but two years later, they were back again, and this time around, their love for each other became deep. In December 2019, after two years of dating, they planned to marry in 2020, but that couldn’t happen because of Covid. They did another year of dating and got married in 2021.

Career
Sika Osei’s childhood dream was to become a television presenter, but she started her career as a Magazine Publisher (a writer). She began this profession during her days at the University and had her works published in Magazines such as Canoe Africa Magazine, Bella Naija, and Mania Magazine. Sika is still a publisher, but now she does that for her “Beauty After 30 Magazine.”
However, in 2013, after reading Law at GIMPA in Ghana and becoming a solicitor, Sika decided to follow her childhood dream. She commenced her media career in Ghana after she met Director Gyo, who gave her the chance to be the first female host of the Phamous TV entertainment show aired on Viasat 1. That same year, she signed onto BBnZ Live, an advertising company, record label, and artist management company, as a presenter. She was addressed as the first lady of BBnZ Live.
Following that, she saw an advertisement for an audition for co-hosts for 53 Extra on Africa Magic Urban Dstv Channel 153, so she went for the auditions in Nigeria and was among the chosen. She was a co-host of the show till it ended in 2020, but within this period, she started her career in acting and started hosting other entertainment shows, red-carpet events, fashion shows, and travel shows.
