Career
Toosweet Annan has been on the screens since his childhood. He used to participate in a school drama that was shown during the telecast of a tv program on GTV Ghana known as “Toddlers Time.” He was doing drama till junior high school.
In 2008, after Annan completed college, he decided to go into professional acting. He began by playing a role in a television series that a friend was shooting and later went for movie auditions. He went for these auditions for years without getting any role to play, so he paused his acting career and went to work at a printing press.
Subsequently, in 2010, Toosweet met Joseph Serebour, the Chief Executive Officer of Peace Films Productions and a movie producer based in Kumasi, Ashanti Region, who gave him his first role in the movie, “The Supremo.” He starred in this film alongside movie stars like Jackie Appiah, Prince David Osei, Nana Ama McBrown, Juliet Ibrahim, and Kalsoume Sinare.
After his first film, Mr. Serebour introduced the Nigerian-Ghanaian actor to another film producer who featured him in his second movie titled “Crazy Scandal.” Since then, Toosweet has starred in many films produced in Ghana and Nigeria, and according to him, his breakthrough movie is Happy Happy Deathday, directed by Kobi Rana.
