Early Life & Family Background<\/h2>\n

Gyakie was born on December 16, 1998, in Bompso, Ashanti Region, but she comes from Abuakwa, also in the Ashanti Region. She is 25 years old, and the songbird is the first child of Highlife musician Ernest Nana Acheampong and his current wife, Marian Acheampong. Gyakie has three younger siblings, a brother and two sisters from the same parents. However, she has a step-sister (father’s daughter) called Sheila Acheampong, who is also a singer and is older than her.<\/p>\n

Gyakie completed junior high at Mizpah Vine Ark School in Kumasi and proceeded to T.I. Ahmadiyya Senior School, also in Kumasi, for her high school. At Ahmadiyya, Gyakie became an entertainment prefect, and after high school, She went to Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. Music Career<\/h3>\n

Gyakie started singing when she was a young girl. During her days in primary school, the songbird used to entertain her mum and her friends with music at home whenever they came around. However, she began her professional music journey in 2019 at the time she was at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. She met Nigerian music producer Sosa who was also in KNUST, and they began working together.<\/p>\n

She dropped her first song in February 2019, dubbed “Love is Pretty.” Following her first single, she released “Never Like This” and a gospel song titled “Nana Nyame.” In August 2020, the afro-fusion singer came out with her first album dubbed “SEED EP,” a 5 Tracklist with her breakthrough song “Forever” on the list. The “Forever” song on Gyakie’s External Play topped music charts in different African countries, and she won Awards in Ghana for this song and her SEED EP.<\/p>\n

In 2021, Jackline decided to do a remix of her Forever song, and she featured Nigerian artist Omah Lay. The remix of Forever was officially premiered on May 25, 2021, and like the original song, it also became a hit. In the same year, the Flip the Music signee and her record label announced an International record deal with Sony Music Entertainment, RCA Records UK, and Sony Music Africa. She released a few singles after that, and on July 22, 2022, she came out with her second career EP, titled “My Diary.” The 6 Tracklist EP had songs like Something, Wakawaka, Flames (ft. Davido), For My Baby, Far Away, and Audience (ft. Songbird). She is doing well with her music career. Currently, Jackline Acheampomaa Acheampong is one of the best female musicians in Ghana.<\/p>\n
