Koo Fori was born in Kumasi, Ashanti Region, on June 24, 1969. However, he grew up in Kwahu, Eastern Region of Ghana. He is 54 years old and a native of Shama, in the Western Region. Koo has five siblings, a brother, and four sisters. He is the fourth child.<\/p>\n

The late Reverend Samuel Andrews Kwadwo Kakari is the father of Koo Fori. Rev. Kakari was a Pastor in the Pentecost Church, and he served the Church for 42 years before his demise. He is a native of Akyem Oda in the Eastern Region. Koo’s mother is also a native of Shama in the Western Region.<\/p>\n

Koo Fori started acting when he was young. Apart from his father being a Pastor at the Pentecost Church, he was a translator, a songwriter, and a scriptwriter. Therefore, he used to write Drama scripts, and Koo and his siblings had to play the characters in the Drama at home before they went and acted in front of the congregation in Church. He became a videographer after completing University and did that for some time before he started radio.<\/p>\n

The actor was part of a Drama on the radio called “Ahenfie,” and that’s where he got his nickname Koo Fori. Later, he moved to TV and starred in Cantata, a drama and music show on GTV, and then Taxi Driver, where he played the role of a man who speaks Liberian English before he started appearing in “Efiewura” which made him a household name. Koo Fori has starred in Ghanaian movies like Koti Academy. He has also hosted a few shows on TV, and at the moment, he is the General Manager of Bryt TV. Apart from being an actor and a media personality, he is an MC, event organizer, and businessman.<\/p>\n
