Music Journey

Yaw Tog started his music journey in 2018 after he stopped playing football. He fell in love with Ghanaian rapper and songwriter Kwesi Arthur’s rap music, and that influenced his decision to make music. He started writing his own songs and going to the studio to record. Later, Yaw became one of the people who formed the “Asaaka” music group and brought the Kumerica drill music to life. Yaw Tog hit the mainstream in 2020 after he released his hit song “Sore.”

After the release of Sore” on September 3, 2020, which earned him over 2 million views on YouTube in just a day, he featured his idol BET nominee Kwesi Arthur and Ghanaian-British rapper Stormzy on the remix of the song. Big names like Michael Dapaah, Vic Mensa, and others gave the song “Sore” their approval, and it was also featured on the Complex in the UK and Billboard Italia. He later released his first EP, dubbed the Time EP, and now he has many singles and features with other musicians.
