Psalm Adjeteyfio, popularly called T.T., was a Veteran Ghanaian actor best known for his role in the Taxi Driver television series in Ghana. After gaining fame through this series, he starred in other television series like Ultimate Paradise and Jamestown Fisherman. He also featured in movies like My Heart and Expectations.

Early Life 

Psalm Adjeteyfio was born and raised in Labadi or La in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. He was born on March 11, 1948. His father is from one of the areas in Dzirase in La, Accra, and his mother is also from one of the areas in La Abafum, Accra. Therefore, both are natives of Labadi (La), which means Psalm is a hundred percent Ga from La.

Educational Background

He started schooling at Labone Primary School and finished his junior high education at La Anglican School. He proceeded to Holy Trinity Cathedral Senior High School for his high school, and from there, he went to Accra Training College, now Accra College of Education. He completed the Accra College of Education, and after that, he started teaching. He later enrolled at the School of Performing Arts, University of Ghana, but didn’t complete the University because of heart disease.

Wife

Adjeteyfio had two wives, but he divorced the two.

The actor left behind four children. He had three children with his first wife, two boys and a girl, and one with his second wife, a son.

Career

T.T. started acting before he became a teacher. He started entertaining his family members at home, people in his community, and pupils in the schools he attended. At the La Anglican School, where he completed junior high, he was part of the school drama club, and at Holy Trinity Cathedral, he played a role in entertaining parents at speech and prize-giving day events during his time.

However, he started his professional movie career when he enrolled at the Accra College of Education. He joined a group of upcoming actors and actresses that Augustine Abbey, aka Idikoko, was trying out at Madina, a Suburb of Accra, and that’s how he landed a role in his first movie, “Killing Me Softly.” After completing his teacher training education, he started teaching, and he taught in a few schools, including the PRESEC School in Accra.

Later, he was offered a role in Taxi Driver, a TV Series by the same producer he worked with during his first film, and this TV Series brought him into the limelight. After Taxi Driver, he featured in other series like Ultimate Paradise and Jamestown Fisherman and starred in movies as well. He also hosted a radio show on PEACE FM for a short period when he was at the University of Ghana, Legon.

Death

Adjeteyfio died on April 7, 2022, at his Ayikuma home. He died in his sleep at age 74. Before his death, he was diagnosed with a heart condition that affected him at some point in his career.
