Chief Biney Biography

Chief Biney Hamilton Nixon is a Ghanaian politician, Humanitarian, and Freight Forwarder. He is a former Communication Member of the New Democratic Congress Party (NDC) and a former Deputy National Organizer of the Party. Biney contested the Deputy National Organizer position with eight others in November 2018, and after the voting, he placed second and was elected as the Deputy Organizer, together with Kobby Barlon, who had the most votes.

Chief Biney is the Chief Executive Officer of Jham Logistics Company Limited and also the owner of Atlas Delivery Service, a courier service in Ghana. He is Fante and a native of Ekumfi Narkwa, in the Central Region of Ghana. He was born on May 28, 1978, in the Central Region of Ghana to Mrs. Biney and the late Chief Hamilton Biney. Mr. Nixon is 45 years old. He attended Data Link Institute and the Ghana Institute of Surveyors and has other certificates, including a Master of Science in Strategic Management.

He was married to NPP’s Madam Alberta Afia Akoto. He has four beautiful children, two boys and two girls. Chief Biney began his political career in the 1990s. He started following the National Democratic Party in 1992 but became a registered NDC Party member in 1996. He has passed through the ranks from the Grassroots to the Deputy National Organizer position of the NDC Party.

Mr. Biney Nixon has worked as a polling station agent for the NDC Party and as a grassroots organizer. In his hometown, Ekumfi, he was elected the Vice Chairman of Ekumfi Constituency and has worked as a regional party security coordinator for the National Democratic Congress (NDC). Chief contested for the Member of Parliament position in his Constituency, but he didn’t win, and he has worked with many committees within his party, the NDC. He was once a member of the NDC Communication team, and in 2018, he was elected as a Deputy National Organizer of the National Democratic Party (NDC).

On Friday, October 28, 2022, he organized and led the ‘Ghana Must Work Demo’ in Accra, Ghana. A few weeks after the Demonstration, Chief Biney revealed he would compete for the NDC National Organizer position at the party’s 10th Delegates Congress on Saturday, December 18, 2022. However, he lost the NDC National Organizer position to Joseph Yammin after the voting, and because Chief contested for the position of Deputy National Organizer of the NDC, he lost his former position as Deputy National Organizer.
