Kalsoume Sinare was born in Accra, Ghana, on April 27, 1967 to Alhaji Adam Said Sinare and Zainab Sinare. She is 56 years old and comes from the Northern Region of Ghana. Her parents gave birth to nine children, six girls, and four boys, and she is the oldest among them.
She grew up in Accra, started her schooling at South Labadi Experimental School, and then finished her junior high at St. Michael’s International School in Osu, Accra. Kalsoume had her high school education at Accra High School and proceeded to GIMPA, where she studied Public Service and Governance. She graduated in 2021 with a second-class upper honours certificate. In December 2023, She graduated with a Master of Arts in International Relations and Diplomacy from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).

Kalsoume Sinare started her career as a model. She represented Ghana at the 1990 Miss Model of the World Pageant and mostly showed up on the TV screens as a commercial model.
