Media Career
She began her career with The Statesman and then TV3. She has also worked with PEACE FM, owned by Despite Media Group, and Asempa FM. From there, Yaa Brefo joined Adom FM/Adom TV and hosted programs like Bedwam on Multimedia Media Ghana’s Adom TV and other programs and events. She willingly resigned in 2020 and joined ABN.
At Angel Broadcasting network, Nana Yaa Brefo Danso worked as a co-host of Anopa Bofuo, a morning show and host of Ghana Apaawa on Angel FM 102.9 and Angel TV. She sometimes worked as a reporter. She was also the head of News TV at Angel FM/TV. In 2023, Yaa resigned from ABN and then joined Media General on February 1, 2024. She is currently the host of “Yen Nsempa” on Onua 95.1 FM, a subsidiary of Media General Ghana.
