Biography
Kwaku was born in his hometown Obuasi Ahansoyewodea, Ashanti Region, on March 6, 1984. He is the second child of seven children of his parents. He has four brothers and two sisters, one of his siblings is Filaman, who is also an actor and musician.
The renowned actor dropped out of school when he was about to move to JHS 2. He left school to help his father in his slippers-making business so he could take care of his younger brothers and sisters. He later went into Galamsey and electric welding, all to support the family.
Movie & Music Career
When K. Manu became an electric welder, he used to crack jokes at work for his colleagues to laugh, and one day he was told he would be a good actor, so he should go into acting. He thought about it and saw it was a good idea, so he decided to go for a movie audition in Kumasi. The audition he went to was organized by Tete Mmofra Films and Music Productions, owned by Agya Koo.

Kwaku got the opportunity to interact with the Ace Ghanaian actor Agya Koo and told him about wanting to start his acting career. He listened and gave him his first role in a movie titled “Aware So.” He had his breakthrough from this movie, and since then, he has been featured in many films in Ghana.
After several years of experience as an actor, in 2011, Kwaku Manu started a music career in addition to his movie career. He released an album in 2011 and held a listening session for this first-ever career album in Kumasi. Subsequently, he released singles and featured numerous Ghanaian artists like Kwame Eugene on his songs.
