Yaa was born in Oforikrom, Ashanti Region. She was born on October 18, 2000, to Mrs. Lydia Bentum, a prophetess, and Mr. Jackson K. Bentum.
The actress comes from Asante Akim Agogo, in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. She is the second child and only daughter of Mr. Jackson Bentum and Mrs. Lydia Bentum. However, apart from her two known siblings, Reagan and Kwaku Nyame Jackson, She has two step-senior brothers.
