Music Journey
Adina Thembi Ndamse began her musical journey at a young age. She used to sing in church and school. Also, she was the type that used to beat empty cans with sticks with her cousins and sing along to disturb neighbors.
Months after completing her high school education, Adina auditioned for the 2008 Stars of the Future, a music reality in Ghana. She was selected for the competition and emerged as the winner.
Adina rose to prominence through the Stars of the Future music reality show, and after winning the 2008 edition, she was assigned to EKB Records, owned by Kiki Banson. Under this label, she dropped her first song, “Don’t Judge Me,” written by herself and Kiki. At the same label, Adina formed a three-girls music group with two other ladies who were signed to EKB Records.
Later, she joined Skillions Records, owned by Jayso, and released her second track, “Music.” From Skillions Records, the next label Adina joined is the New African Movement, owned by Kwame Farkye, and currently, she is signed to this label.
Thembi has been in the Ghana music industry for more than twelve (12) years and has hit songs like Why, Sika, Take Care of You, and Killing Me Softly to her credit. She has worked with Ghanaian musicians like KiDi, Kwami Eugene, Stonebwoy, and South African musician Mr. Jazziq. Adina Thembi also loved acting when she was a teenager. She has played a role in a stage play with Okyeame Kwame and starred in a Ghanaian movie titled “A New Flame.”
