James Gardiner was born in Accra, Ghana, on Thursday, May 16, 1985. He lost his dad when he was about a month old. He grew up in Taifa, a suburb of Accra.
Gardiner comes from Agona-Asante in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. He is the only child of his biological parents. He is 38 years old as of 2023.

Career
James Gardiner wanted to be a radio presenter or an MC growing up. He began these two careers at the University of Cape Coast in the Central Region of Ghana, where he had his Tertiary education. James was presenting on the Campus radio, Radio Valco, and MCing campus programs, such as pageantries. As a young boy, he hosted kids’ programs in church.
After he finished his studies at the University of Cape Coast, he did his National Service at Joy FM, Ghana, as a radio presenter. He was the only National Service Personnel who was made to read news, advertisements and make announcements on the radio. He later became the presenter of the entertainment segment on Drive Time on Joy 99.7 FM when Bola Ray was hosting the Drive Time.
After some time, James Gardiner was given his radio show, a four (4) hour music show on Hitz FM called the R N B Experience. While he was still hosting this show, one of his aunts told him about an audition for a Television presenter, and since he wanted to add TV to his radio career, he went for the auditions to host a TV show that belonged to the late Fennec Okyere.
However, at the audition, James met a lady who told him to consider acting and recommended him to her producer friend (Samuel Ruffy Quansah), who was looking for new actors to work with.
Gardiner’s acting career began after he went to see Samuel Ruffy Quansah, the CEO of Young Father Production, and did an audition. He starred in his first film, Desperate to Survive, a Samuel Ruffy Quansah film, with stars like Jackie Appiah after the audition. The second movie he starred in is “Love and Last,” which features Nollywood stars like Tonto Dikeh.
James Gardiner can now boast of starring in over a hundred movies, some produced in Ghana and other African countries, including Nigeria.
